In the book The Diary of a Young Girl the Jewish main character, the Holocaust is going on. The events in the book are the same events that happened in real life. All the characters in the book were not happy about the events that happened to them. During World War 2, all of the Jewish people were treated very bad, and in the book they were also treated very bad. For example, the writer in the book stated "Jews must be in doors by eight o'clock and cannot even sit in their own gardens after that hour. Jews are forbidden to visit theaters, cinemas, and other places of entertainment. Jews may not take part in public sports Swimming baths, tennis courts, hockey fields, and other sports grounds are all prohibited." This quote shows only some of the bad ways Jews were treated.
